• The strict use of aluminum instead of steel.
  • Steel is a very poor conductor of heat.  This is why fireplaces and woodstoves are made of steel.  It holds heat very well and traps it.  Aluminum is a very good conductor of heat.  This is why it is used in your car's radiator as well as for heat syncs in electronic components.  By using aluminum in the construction of our mounts, we are able to prevent premature lamp and projector failure by simply moving the heat away from your projector.
  • Why don't other manufacturer's also use aluminum?  Well, this is quite simple; Aluminum is more expensive than steel
• Strategic design and engineering
  • Most other projector mounts are made up of a plate which covers the entire bottom of the projector.  While this is an easy and inexpensive way to engineer a mount, it is also a way to trap heat near your projector.  Perfectmounts spends a great deal of time ensuring that the least amount of surface area is covered by our mounts.  You can look at it asthough you were using a screen door rather that a glass door.  Again, this fundamental design principle will prevent premature lamp and projector failure, and in turn, save you money.
  • Why don't other manufacturer's follow this?  Again, there is a simple answer to this question; Special engineering and design costs money.
